Our core team is here to serve, equip and lead our church into all that God has for us. We consider it a blessing to follow their lead, while we know that God has entrusted good work to them for our benefit.
At the Gathering we hold to the model of governing elders that we see in scripture for the leading of His people; His Gathering. Titus 1:5-9 & 1 Timothy 3:1-13.
The primary responsibilities of our elders are: supporting our senior pastor with the vision and mission, stewarding the financial resource and responsibilities, governance and compliance, and the teaching, care and correction of God’s people.
Pastors Mike and Kelly have been serving together in church communities for just over 28 years and have a real love for people.
They are passionate about seeing people encounter Jesus in a real way and to discover His amazing plan for their lives.
Before serving in full time ministry, they have both worked in a variety of rolls in the community over the years, including; Carpentry, Counselling, Social Work, and Secondary School Music and English.
Mike and Kelly have been married for over 27 years and are parents to four beautiful girls – Jena, Ella, Kira and Melia.
